Who knew watching people compete in singing competitions would become a favorite American pastime? The Voice, which airs on NBC, has thrived in popularity for nine seasons and returns in 2016 for its tenth season. A new season means new contestants, and there will be open call auditions held in Memphis on Saturday, January 23.
Have you got a song in your heart and a voice to go along with it? This is a great opportunity for solo artists or duos, who aspire to take their singing to the next level and possibly to stardom. If you are
15 years old (by March 28, 2016) or older and meet all of the eligibility requirements, you are encouraged to apply to audition. Singers are being sought who perform all types of music including alternative; blues; country; hip-hop; indie; Latin; pop; R&B and rock.
If you are not able to attend the open call audition, you may still apply to be considered. Who does not want to meet Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams? Complete the application and release, and mail your video, which are accepted year-round with no deadline. So, if you cannot attend an open call date, do not let that stop you. Are you The Voice?
